Mobile App Overview

Snippbot for Android is live on Google Play (version 1.0.1). The production rollout is US-only for now. iOS is planned, but there is no iOS build or App Store listing yet.

The Snippbot mobile app brings your self-hosted AI agent to your phone. Built with React Native and Expo, it pairs directly with your own running Snippbot daemon — there is no Snippbot account, and nothing is routed through Snippbot servers. It provides streaming chat, voice input, monitoring, memory, workflows, and remote session joining on the go.

Tip

You pair the app with your daemon using a 6-digit code or a QR code — see Connection & Auth. For access outside your home network, turn on Remote Access (Settings → Remote Access in the web UI, using cloudflared or ngrok), or put the daemon behind a reverse proxy with HTTPS.

The app uses a 5-tab bottom bar for primary navigation, with a More menu for additional features.

Design system

The mobile app uses the Aurora design system, matching the desktop UI:

• Backgrounds: Deep navy to near-black (void palette)
• Accents: Cyan (plasma) and purple (nebula)
• Cards: Frosted glass with subtle borders (AuroraCard)
• Buttons: Gradient variants — primary, secondary, danger (AuroraButton)
• Haptics: Tactile feedback on key interactions (toggles, sends, approvals)
• Themes: Selectable looks in Settings → Themes, including Supporter-exclusive themes (an optional one-time Supporter purchase)
